Shopping the event
I clicked a teleport link and nothing happened
The links on the gallery open your Second Life viewer directly, so a few things have to line up:
- Your viewer has to be installed and already running. Log in first, then click the link.
- Your browser will ask for permission the first time. Tick always allow so it stops asking.
- If you have several viewers installed, whichever was installed last usually owns the link.
Still nothing? Every picture on the gallery has an Open the map in a browser instead link when you click it full screen. That opens the normal Second Life map page, and you can teleport from there.
When is Manly Weekend open?
Every week, from Friday 7 AM SLT until Monday 12 PM SLT. Items go back to their normal price after that, so it is worth going while it runs.
How much do the items cost?
Everything in the round is between 50 and 99 L$. There is one discounted item per designer, and it is sold in that designer's own store rather than at a central event sim.
I got to the store but I cannot find the item
Look near the landing point first, that is where most designers put their Manly Weekend item. If it is not obvious, click the picture on the gallery to see exactly what you are looking for, then ask the designer in-world.
I paid but did not get my item
Contact the designer for this one. Manly Weekend promotes the items but does not sell them, so we cannot see your transaction or redeliver anything.
Send the designer a notecard with your avatar name, the item name, the date and the amount. If you get no answer after a few days, tell us and we will chase it up.
The item does not fit my body or head
Body and head compatibility is set by the designer, and the sizes included are listed in their advertisement or in the store. Ask the designer before buying if you are not sure. Most are happy to answer.
For designers
How do I take part?
Fill in the form on the designer application page, then reserve your spot at the board in MoonLand. Teleport to the board.
What am I allowed to sell?
One item per round, priced 50 to 99 L$. There is no theme and no set category. Clothing, hair, poses, furniture, vehicles, all of it is fine, as long as it suits a men's shopping event.
My advertisement is not on the gallery page
Check first that your picture arrived before the deadline for the round. If it did and the gallery still does not show it, message us on Discord with your brand name and we will add it.
If it went up and you cannot see it, try a hard refresh of the page with Ctrl and F5. Your browser may be showing you last week's version.
My teleport link on the gallery goes to the wrong place
Send us the correct one and we will fix it the same day. The easiest way to get it right: stand where you want shoppers to land, open the World Map, and copy the SLURL. It should look like secondlife://YourRegion/128/128/25 with all three numbers.
Can I take part every week?
Yes, as long as you reserve a spot for each round and put out a different item. Reservations are first come, first served at the board.
